Children Come First

Our Mission:

The Children Come First program will provide a safe, loving, Christian environment designed to enrich learning, cooperation, and character development.

 

What We Offer you:

l Located within Walking Distance from MSU

l Age appropriate equipment for Fine and Gross Motor Skill Development

l Individualized infant care to accommodate your baby’s schedule

l Class schedules to provide your preschooler with structure and diverse learning opportunities

l Circle time

l Well equipped fenced playground with plenty of room and a gym for indoor play on bad weather days

Hours to meet your needs:

Monday - Friday                    7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

About our caregivers

All caregivers have current CPR, First Aid, and Food handler’s certifications. Each member of our staff completes an orientation program before starting to work. In addition they are required to receive 20 training hours each year.

 

What classroom will your child be in?

e Infants (3 months – 11 months)

e Toddlers (12 months –24 months)

e 2 – 3 year olds

e 3 - 4 year olds

e 4 – 5 year olds

Class placement is dependant on age, developmental readiness, and space available.

We provide a morning and afternoon snack.

Children should bring a sack lunch and drink. Infants and Toddlers have lunch at 11:00 a.m. Older children have lunch at 11:45 a.m.

Our after school program

Children Come First is also available to pick up grade school children from the following schools (divided into 3 van routes):

bBrook Village, Ben Franklin, McGaha

bCrockett, Ben Milam

bFain, Fowler

We provide an afternoon snack for After School Children.

 

What you need to enroll:

aComplete enrollment packet

aCurrent shot record & medical release

aPayment for the enrollment fee and the first week of care

Please turn in your information at least one working day before your child will begin care.

Options to assure fees you can afford

If you need full time care:                 
$35.00 enrollment fee                        
infants $95.00 per week                       
toddlers $90.00 per week                      
potty trained & up $87.00 per week  
                   
If you need part time or drop in care:     
$25.00 enrollment fee                          
$3.15 per hour (2 hour minimum)
 
If you need After School care:               
Full time:                                           
$35.00 enrollment fee                           
$35.00 per week                                        
Part time:                                           
$25.00 enrollment fee                          
$9.00 per day

Do you Qualify for financial aid?

If you qualify for Financial Aid at Vernon College or if you have received TANF benefits in the last 12 months, there may be a program to help you.

We provide referrals to help you find the financial assistance you need.

At Children Come First parents are always welcome. We know how important your child is and we want you to know that your child is having a wonderful time.

If your child is in our center you are more than welcome to stop by for a visit. If you are just thinking about using our center, we would love for you and your child to come take a look around.

You may stop by at any time. If you would like to call ahead we are happy to answer your questions or set up a time to give you a tour.
